Another 'Cuff Top'
After making up an African print version of The Assembly Line's 'Cuff Top', I decided it was a worthwhile making a plain version which would be a useful wardrobe staple.
This was made up using navy linen. I cut a size Small again, I still wonder if I could size down, but sometimes it's nice to have a bit of room for manoeuvre. I also reduced the elastic length by 1 inch in the arms which gathered the fabric a little more and made the sleeve a tiny bit tighter, but not other modifications.
So, here it is! Again, both Instagram and Pinterest have a great wealth of examples from other keen sewers, so if you are interested in this pattern, I do encourage you to take a look and get some inspiration. The Assembly Line have so many patterns that I am keen to try, so watch this space for more makes I hope!
In the photos below, I have teamed the top with my DIY Half Circle skirt which I made some years back, and it still brings me joy. I've also shown how a simple top can be customised and personalised with a Pattern Punch necklace.
