'Pekka' Jacket
Isn’t this fabric a stunner! When I saw it, I knew it was coming home with me! Admittedly, I made this jacket in the summer, but it’s such a mood enhancer it called out to me this morning - though a thermal vest might be needed if decide to keep wearing it through the colder months. Once again, it’s a beautiful African wax print fabric, I love the geometric design.
I made up the ‘Pekka’ jacket pattern by 'Ready to Sew'. Such a great pattern and shape, very versatile - in fact this was the first one I made and then I followed that with a khaki quilted version (see my other post). Two very different looks from the same pattern - fantastic!
I took the liberty of making myself a necklace in this print too, possibly a bit matchy matchy with the jacket, buy hey, who cares if it makes you happy!*
However, having my picture taken tends to induce fear, so I don't look very happy in these photos.
