Was itching to find a use for some beautiful double sided African Print fabric that I purchased. Gold on one side and pink/red on the other. Scoured Pinterest and found lots of inspiration and pin-pointed this pattern by Vogue. Seems I was a bit late to the V9253 party as there were a myriad of examples online. I liked the shape and decided to make my own version. Decided making the dress fully out of the gold side was a little OTT (even for me), so I just used that for the belt to give it a little more glam. I chose a midi length and also for modesty brought the really deep V neckline up a bit, other than that I pretty much followed the pattern. Again, there are some great resources online from the sewing community if you need tips and inspiration.
Bit of a chilly day for a photo shoot and a rather reluctant camera assistant (and model), but you get the gist.
Don't worry, I didn't use all the fabric, I made sure there was some left for my necklaces. You'll see it pop up now and again.
